What is happening at Conway?
|
|
Conway Middle School Academies has 3 distinct academies - Traditonal, Gifted & Talented and Science and Technology. The curriculum is the same for all students of each grade. The difference lies in the approach and method of delivery. Each academy presents material in a distinct way. Parents and students select an academy when enrolling at Conway and remain with that academy for 3 years. Our school community loves having a choice!

What is happening in the Computer Class at Conway!
|
For the first two weeks, the 6th graders are learning basic word processing with concentration on copy, paste, and style changes. They are also using a drawing program and producing drawing of school objects such as a computer! The 7th & 8th graders are working on business letters and resumes. This word processing practice is in conjunction with vocational studies. It is our goal to give the students practical computer skills which can be used to get and keep a job. The second week of September, the students will work on a flyer for the PTSA. Five flyers will be selected to be used for the notices sent home to parents. Do you have comments?
